Hafa Adai!

My name is Christiana and I am the creator of Hafa Adai Events. I was born and raised on Guam my whole life, up until 2013 when I moved to Seattle. Today, I am a mom to my sweet girl, Hailey. Aside from running Hafa Adai Events, I am currently working on my Bachelor's in Social Welfare through the University of Washington.

You might ask yourself, why "Hafa Adai Picnics"? There is a common expression amongst people from the south, "Southern Hospitality". Similarly, on Guam, we talk about sharing our "Hafa Adai Spirit". 

​

To me, having and sharing the Hafa Adai Spirit is having pride in where you're from and sharing the love & care we have for each other in our families & communities, in all our interactions.

With this in mind, Hafa Adai Events was a name that felt natural. I wanted to create something with meaning and purpose. For as long as I can remember, I've loved putting events together. Even if they were just small sleepovers as a kid or birthdays for my daughter. I love putting time, energy and effort into building something for people and being able to see them enjoy it!
